Bouzouki-cahier
One of the offshoots of the donation of Dalaras’ bouzouki to the Museum Vleeshuis is that the staff has planned a bouzouki-itinerary.
During the last Open Monument Day (September 2023), the bouzouki resounded in the museum, and it looks like another intimate concert will be held at the museum in 2024 as well.
Sometime in autumn 2024, a cahier will be published around this instrument with a very rich history. Although the bouzouki has very much typified Greek music, its genesis lies in a slightly more complex past and the instrument’s current status was far from obvious.
